Strive is delighted to host the 2024 touring Springboks prior to their UK Autumn International series. The 4 times and back-to-back World Champions will enjoy a week’s training camp in Jersey, culminating in a Gala Dinner held in their honour. The Springboks will travel to the UK for the Autumn Internationals.

“This tour will be preceded by a one-week training camp in Jersey, providing the team with the opportunity to acclimatise and prepare for the challenging matches ahead.”

HOST - Jim Hamilton

Jim Hamilton is a former international rugby union player who made 63 appearances for Scotland between 2006 and 2015. Over a decade long career, he played for club sides Leicester Tigers, Edinburgh Rugby, Gloucester Rugby, Montpellier and Saracens. During his time at Saracens he helped them win the Premiership title in 2015 and 2016 and also the European Cup in 2016 and 2017.

Post-retirement, Jim now has a successful career as a rugby pundit and podcaster alongside Andy and also works for RugbyPass, World Rugby’s media outlet.

Alongside Andy they host the successful podcast, The Rugby Pod.

HOST - Andy Goode

Andy Goode is now a rugby pundit and commentator having retired after an 18-year professional career playing over 400 games and scoring over 4,000 points. He played professionally for Leicester Tigers, Saracens, Worcester Warriors, Wasps,Newcastle Falcons, Brive, and the Sharks in South Africa.

He represented England 17 times between 2005 and 2009 scoring 107 points and is the second highest scorer of all time in Premiership Rugby. During his career he won five Premiership titles(1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007) and two European Cups (2001 and 2002) all with Leicester; he also won the RFU Championship with Worcester Warriors.

During the fundraising evening, there will also be a fun raffle, auction and silent auction, including some exclusive, limited edition Springbok merchandise. The proceeds will be going to Jersey Sports association for the disabled.
